Bodega Reina de Castilla

The name Reina de Castilla refers to three famous queens, Beatriz of Portugal, Isabella the Catholic and Johanna l from Castile. All threewere way ahead of their time, discovered new world and put Castile on the map forever. Entirely in this tradition, Bodega Reina de Castilla (www.reinadecastilla.es) is always trying out new ways and techniques to further improvement of their wines, while of course preserving their traditions. The age of the vines varies from 20-50 years old, located along the banks of the river Duero, Bodega Reina de Castilla produces veryhigh quality wines.

The current owners of the winery are specialised in the cultivation of Verdejo for decades. The bodega has 223 hectares of it’s own vineyards, with the Verdejo variety predominating. Sauvignon Blanc, Viura and Tempranillo are also grown here. The terroir is a mix of clay and boulders with a perfectly premeable soil.
